AMA/CMA/BMA International Conference on Physician Health 2010
Dr Michael Kaufmann, Director of the Physician Health Program at the OMA was invited to present at the International Conference on Physician Health in Chicago. The PHP presentation regarding our outcomes for SD monitoring was well received. Thanks to PHP Team for contributing to that success.

2010 PHP ANNUAL MEETING
Was held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the The Old Mill Inn & Spa - 21 Old Mill Road, Toronto, Ontario.
The meeting was attended by 100 participantsis who were interested in the pursuit of health and wellness for physicians and other health professionals. This year, we were very pleased to offer a delegation of speakers presenting on a variety of topics including:
- Disruptive behaviour in the workplace; Leadership lessons from the Field - Larry Grossman MD, Alan Stewart MD and Don Atkinson MD
- Bill 168 - Overview of Occupational Health and Safety Act amendment regarding workplace violence & harassment

- Physician Workplace Support Program – Introduction of the new program being launched by the OMA’s Physician Health Program – Ms. Mary Yates

2009 "TRAIN THE TREATER" PHP Education Day
was held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario
The Education Day was attended by 70 participants. When asked what they liked most about the day, comments included the following :
- Interactivity, setting
- Issues encountered by physician treating physicians
- Boundary issues discussion
- Passion and compassion of presenters
- Location, topic relevance, handouts, chance to network
- Well organized, everything excellent
- “Gently” geared towards physicians to examine themselves.
- Reinforcement of clinical practice
The workshops were designed to improve the knowledge and ability of physicians to assess and manage health issues when treating healthcare professionals.
